Vietnamese coffee is most of the time the Robusta type associated with the strong and bitter flavour, which differs from the prevalent one in the Western nations called Arabica coffee. Robusta is almost twice as caffeine wise (2.7% wt instead of Arabica’s 1.5%). Furthermore, it has 60% less lipid (fat) and sugar than Arabica, so the taste is sharp and less casual than your usual cup of coffee. Unlike Arabica, which is mellow and easy-drinking, Robusta is often compared to burnt tires. Vietnam also grow good quality Arabica including Moka coffee. Here at Drink Vietnam we offer a wide variety of coffee grown and roasted in Vietnam with the specific local flavour. Most of people taste the Vietnamese coffee fall in love after the first one.
